Alison has over 20 years of nonprofit and leadership experience. Before Better Health Together, she served as Executive Director for six northwest nonprofit organizations, leading them through significant change processes to better meet community needs. Alison joined Better Health Together in June 2013 after moving her family to Spokane from Seattle.
Alison has a business degree with a human resources concentration from Pacific Lutheran University. When she isn’t working to improve the health of her community she enjoys running, exploring her backyard in Valleyford and taking care of her two sheep, nine chickens, three ducks, two dogs and her family. back to top ^

Charisse grew up in Eastern Washington and has over 20 years of non-profit and social service experience. She has a Masters in Counseling Psychology and started out in social services as a therapist working with adolescent girls. She then went on to earn a Masters in Business Administration to support the work of others as an administrator. Charisse continued in administration, working for the Spokane County Regional Support Network overseeing a provider network, contracting, fiscal allocations, utilization, and working with other counties and regions as chair of County Human Services for several years. She then returned to her roots at Excelsior and served as Chief Business Officer. In her free time, she loves being at home with family, weekend outings, and playing with her sidekick dog.

Felisa is a skilled accounting professional with over two decades of experience in the field. Throughout her career, she has worked with diverse clients, from small local businesses to large regional accounting firms and not-for-profit organizations. A proud graduate of Boise State University, Felisa holds the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Beyond her professional endeavors, Felisa is deeply passionate about giving back and actively volunteers and mentors children, families, and other community organizations supporting sustainability and creativity.

Hadda has over 18 years of experience in various roles in post-secondary education. Her work focused on addressing barriers to enrollment for high school and college students and centering student success of the most underserved communities. Before Better Health Together, Hadda served as the Dean of Global Education and Strategic partnerships, providing leadership in the development, integration, and promotion of campus internationalization. As a multilingual, global citizen who has worked and lived internationally, Hadda's personal and professional experiences are fueled by her own trials and triumphs and countless stories of people who continue to be unfairly met with systemic barriers. She is the proud graduate of both the University of Paris-Est's undergraduate program in Accounting & Finance and the University of Louisiana at Monroe's graduate program in Mass Communication/Public Relations. When not working, she spends time with her family traveling, cooking, and enjoying her kids play soccer.

Kim was raised by a single mom, mainly in a small rural community in Eastern Washington, and is grateful to the teachers and others who encouraged her to go to college. She graduated from WSU with a BA in Finance in 1990 and earned her CPA license in 2011. Kim has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience and has served on various Boards, including for organizations that serve women, children, and families. Kim has a unique understanding of the needs of families and the value of the public safety-net programs, not only through her Board service but also because her family was a recipient of these programs when she was a child. Kim loves spending her free time with her family and friends. She enjoys spending time in the sun, whether it is going for a walk, a bike ride, a slow paddle in a kayak, or just laying in the sun reading a good book.

Reese was born in Northern California but has lived in Eastern Washington for over two decades. She graduated from EWU with a degree in Social Work and worked for seven years in direct service with people experiencing co-occurring disorders and housing instability. She became passionate about working toward a more equitable and higher quality of service and health care delivery system through that work. Reese has spent the last decade in healthcare transformation and public health. She is passionate about meeting our region's unique and diverse needs in partnership with community organizations. It is her mission to better the community for everyone. She lives in North Spokane with her son and fur babies.

Sarah Bollig Dorn

Sarah wore professional hats in a variety of industries, including finance, performing arts, and childhood education, before finding her niche in health policy. After completing a Masters in Public Administration at The Ohio State University, Sarah joined a research non-profit in Ohio advocating for evidence-based policies to improve population health. In 2016, she moved to Spokane and worked for a Medicaid managed care company doing organizational and ACH engagement in Eastern Washington. Sarah joined the BHT team as a Senior Program Manager in July 2018.

Terry Titmus

Terry received his BA in Comparative Sociology from the University of Puget Sound and spent 2 years doing internships at Western State Mental Hospital in Steilacoom. He has worked in mental health and dispute resolution and for the VOA in his local community. After working at the Rural Resources Community Action to expand services provided within rural communities using partners such as Better Health Together, he became passionate about how community based care coordination can magnify the impact of primary care, particularly in areas of great geographic spread or where there is a shortage of providers. After working as a director for 7 years in Rural Resources, he decided to come to BHT to build and expand on that work.
Terry is a native Washingtonian who has lived in both halves of the state. He enjoys spending time with family, camping (glamping), boating, and foraging for huckleberries and wild mushrooms. He also enjoys playing and listening to music and filling the void of restaurants in rural NE Washington by developing his cooking skills.

Born and raised in Colorado, Tessa moved to Spokane to attend Gonzaga University and pursued a degree in Public Relations before going back to school at Spokane Falls Community College for an associate of science in Graphic Design. Her love of healthcare and better community health outcomes started in Wellington, New Zealand with a view into the impact of universal healthcare working in a digital communications for a district health board. In her spare time, she likes to read, is a voracious Wordle player, and dabbles in dog agility lessons.

Adell Whitehead

Adell was born in Los Angeles and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. She moved back to Compton, CA, with her mother until they relocated to Spokane in 1992 for their jobs. She was a trainer and technical designer in the corporate world for 20+ years, allowing her to train overseas. Adell earned a degree in Organizational Management from Whitworth University. She is also a LiveStrong Coach at the YMCA, helping cancer survivors learn to live healthy and enjoy their wellness. She enjoys performing in the theater, both on stage and behind the scenes, and enjoys spending time with her mom, husband, and friends.

Angela comes to Better Health Together with 20 years of experience in executive support, operations, logistics, office management, and program management in multiple sectors and industries. She's excited to bring her skills to support an organization committed to radically improving health in Eastern Washington. Unlearning biased thinking and actions requires learning first. Angela is committed to constantly learning about histories of colonial violence and oppression and how they inform dynamics of power and social constructs. In 2020, she was proud to obtain a master's degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, where she focused her research on sexual violence and victim-blaming.

Brandy Marsh

Brandy has called Eastern Washington home for almost 20 years. She joined Better Health Together as a Data Manager in 2024, bringing 16 years of non-profit experience and a commitment to improving health outcomes. Brandy has a Bachelor's in Psychology from Gonzaga University and is currently pursuing her Master's in Data Analytics. Her passion for illuminating data insights and identifying community needs allows her to support the well-being of our communities. She believes a healthy community is a cornerstone of a prosperous community. In her spare time, she enjoys time with family, reading, and gardening.

Carlinda is from the Marshall Islands and is passionate about supporting the Pasifika community. She moved to the USA and Spokane in 2018. Before joining BHT, she worked as Peer Educator and Diabetes Coordinator in the Marshall Islands. Carlinda is bilingual and speaks Marshallese; she understands how important translation resources are for health information, accessing services, and helping every community improve wellness. Carlinda enjoys playing baseball and volleyball with local teams and spending time with her family.

Bio: Eric comes to Better Health Together with an extensive background in finance and accounting. He graduated with an Associate of Business from North Seattle College before transferring to EWU for a Bachelor’s in Finance and Professional Accounting and finally, a Masters in Accounting completed in March 2024. Eric comes from a small country in West Africa called Burkina Faso. His sense of community and passion for helping others is evident in his work, helping reduce barriers for impacted populations and keeping his BHT coworkers smiling with his infectious positivity. He even speaks four languages! In his free time, you can find him traveling, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Before joining the BHT team, she ran a small business for five years providing graphic design and technical communications services. She loves collaborating with others to solve problems and contributing her technical skills to promoting community wellness and improving health equity.

Ethan Senn

ethan.senn@betterhealthtogether.org Ethan grew up in Indiana, earned a bachelor's in Recreation from Indiana University in 2011, and happily moved to Spokane County in 2019. He completed his Master of Public Health online at the University of Florida in 2024. Their professional background includes working in university admissions, at a science museum, and in utility bill processing before joining BHT in 2024 as a Program Coordinator. He has a variety of volunteer experiences and currently serves on the Board of a 2SLGBTQIA+ nonprofit and a citizen's Board for Parks and Recreation in Medical Lake. Hailey Muto

Hailey has lived in Spokane her entire life and thoroughly enjoys all that the city has to offer. Graduating from Whitworth with a degree in organizational management, Hailey fell in love with process improvements/lean management. She has worked as an executive assistant both in and out of the non-profit sector and finds a great deal of personal fulfillment working for non-profits. Prior to her experience as an executive assistant, Hailey worked in the restaurant service industry, as well as property management. Her hope is to, someday, obtain a law degree. In the meantime, she enjoys dining out, spending time with her son and two dogs, running, and road trips.

Hannah strives to bring a collaborative, relational orientation to BHT's work and the wider community. In her first job after college, she worked in refugee resettlement, supporting people in their transition to life in a new country. During that time, a diverse group of colleagues and clients offered her warm hospitality and a powerful education that helped ground and shape her personal and professional identities. She has master's degrees in social work and divinity and has worked in a variety of nonprofit settings in Kansas City, Chicago, and Spokane. Hannah grew up on a farm in Kansas and hosts a Kansas Day party every year to celebrate her roots. She loves to read and hike and always welcomes new recommendations for books and hiking trails.

Heather grew up in the PNW and has lived in Spokane for 20 years. She earned her BA in Sociology from Whitman College and MA in Communications and Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University. Heather spent most of her early career in direct service with youth and later moved into medical administration and public health. She recently worked at Spokane Regional Health District, focusing on equity and improving social determinants of health for families in Spokane County. Heather has three daughters and one granddaughter, who is the center of her world. She loves to travel, try new foods, read, and spend time with her family in her spare time.

Jesse is originally from Eastern Washington. She spent 10 years in the Portland, OR area before relocating back to Eastern Washington to be closer to family. She's deeply committed to making a positive impact in her community. After earning her MBA from Eastern Washington University, Jesse is determined to use her business skills to give back to society. As the Program Coordinator for the Community Health Worker Trainee Program, she's focused on creating a supportive and educational environment to help nurture future leaders in their communities. Outside of work, Jesse enjoys spending time with her partner and three children. They enjoy traveling together, going on hikes, and sailing.

Kim Wilson has lived in Spokane for 34 years and truly calls it home, advocating for Eastern Washington whatever chance she gets. She has a vast array of experience, working with vulnerable populations from 5 – 95 years old in areas of education, advocacy, and empowerment. Her work with Community Health Workers first came in 2016 after she took a training while working at a local non-profit, and she has never looked back. Wilson truly believes CHWs are the “Heart, Head, and Hands” of communities. She works to support, train, and stand alongside community health workers in advocacy and education.

Yvonne grew up on the Spokane Reservation and is an enrolled Colville Tribal Member of Palus and Nez Perce Chief Joseph Bands and descendant of Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Dine’. She has witnessed the challenges of families living in communities like hers, with limited access to health care resources. Yvonne has 14 years of experience in the health care field as an in-home caregiver, palliative care, and nursing assistance at Sacred Heart Medical Center. Yvonne is pursuing a Bachelors’s degree in Nursing. Her community outreach experience comes from years of hosting a Native American radio show called “InnerTribal Beat” on KYRS Community Radio in Spokane.

Virginia lived in Montana, Turkey, California, and North Bend, Washington, before moving to Spokane in 2006 with her husband and children. Her close family and friends are an essential part of her life and inspire her to help others. She loves helping families understand the healthcare system and obtaining the information to make positive and informed decisions. She has also worked in the non-profit sector, providing care coordination, diversion services, and support services for those experiencing homelessness. When she's not working, she's usually enjoying her kids and grandkids, gardening, reading, and activities in nature.
